RE: Court Order Stops Viance’s False Media Campaign

We are pleased to announce that on March 20, Judge Jack T. Camp of the United States District Court for the Northern District of Georgia, Newnan Division, granted a Temporary Restraining Order to Osmose, Inc. the manufacturer of MicroPro® micronized copper preservatives ordering its competitor, Viance LLC, to halt its negative marketing campaign against micronized copper wood preservatives.

This order pertains to the Defendant (Viance), its officers, directors, agents, servants, members and employees and all other persons in active concert or participation with the company who receive actual notice of this Order.

The Order specifically states:

“We are pleased with the judge’s decision to halt this baseless media campaign, which has negatively impacted the credibility of the entire treated wood industry,” said Paul Goydan, president of Osmose. “We look forward to resolving this issue and to the upcoming hearing scheduled to begin on May 19, when we expect to receive a continuing injunction to halt these scare tactics.”

Osmose continues to be proud of our MicroPro technology and the benefits this product brings to the consumer.
